Construction began immediately in July of 2020. While some of the first studs were being set, it dawned on me that this was the beginning of something great. Never before has there been a studio of this sorts in Ventura, CA. Many folks in the entertainment industry profess that you must move to Los Angeles in order to make a career. Yet from my own experience as an audio technician living in Ventura, it just isn’t true. And Ventura is the perfect place to start a studio. It’s close enough to L.A. that artist’s and their crew are willing to make the trip if it’s good business. But instead of paying high rent with no parking, Ventura is affordable, spacious, and beachside. So many amazing artist have already come through even just to take a peak. There’s nothing like building something from the ground up in a place as fitting as here.
